It has a captivating and expressive nose from the start. It is very frank and direct from the moment it is uncorked, a wine of its time, ever-changing, evolving with each sip. Initially, subtle notes of wild red and black berries appear. Then, notes that identify other foreign varieties appear (spiced notes: white pepper, clove, eucalyptus, mint), and then it returns to fresh fruit (cherry).
Tasting phase
A very fresh and vibrant wine, with firm, round tannins. Its personality and fluidity are surprising. A serious wine with a long aftertaste and great aging potential.
grape varietals
Tinto Fino, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Malbec.
harvest
A very cold winter, with two days that dropped below -9°C. The summer was very warm, especially in June and July, with three heat waves that marked the year with historic record high temperatures. The mild spring was frost-free. The winter was dry, the spring provided enough rain for the vines, and the summer was very dry. It was a climatologically perfect year for the vines in Ribera del Duero. The early harvest began on September 28th with the Malbec and ended on October 23rd with the Cabernet Sauvignon.
