A very cold winter, with two days dropping below -9°C. The summer was very warm, especially June and July, with three heat waves that marked the vintage with record-breaking maximum temperatures. A mild, frost-free spring. A dry winter, a spring with sufficient rainfall for the vines, and a very dry summer. It was a climatically perfect year for viticulture in the Ribera del Duero region.
