Initial earthy notes, but as it opens up, surprisingly fresh and loaded with red fruits. Accompanied by spicy and woody balsamic notes, such as cedar and cypress.
Tasting phase
Perfect balance. All elements in pleasing, stylish harmony—silky tannins, discreet acidity yet conveying pleasant sensations. An indefatigable wine.
grape varietals
Tinto Fino, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Malbec. Grapes are sourced from vineyard plots located at an average altitude of 750-1000 meters above sea level.
harvest
Rather rainy spring and very hot summer. Good vegetative growth development during spring. Summer high temperatures resulted in slightly weak plants, but the rains right in the middle of the harvest were a relief and helped the plants to reach perfect ripening. We started picking Malbec on 24 September. After the rain that fell on 2 October, the harvest took a steady pace. Grapes arrived at the winery perfectly ripe and healthy.
aging
12 months in 225L French oak barrels sourced from different forests. Once ageing was complete, we obtained around 56 different wines, depending on the vineyards they came from and the barrels they were aged in. These wines were blended to create the final wine.
