Olfactory phase
Ripe black fruit. Notes of toast, tobacco, black licorice and chocolate. Pepper nuances with hints of vanilla and cedar.
Tasting phase
Very structured and a wine that envelops the palate. Big mouthfeel that persists throughout with a long finish in the mouth. Sweetness and ripe touches. Climbs onto the palate loaded with aromatic nuances and flavors that remind us of toffee and cherries in liqueur. A deep well balanced wine.

Tempranillo (88%), Cabernet Sauvignon (7%), Merlot (4%) and Malbec (1%). Harvested from a variety of 120 vineyards throughout 32 towns in Ribera del Duero, all between 750 and 950 m of altitude
harvest
The 2014 vintage year was relatively normal, somewhat cold in spring but a nice heat wave in September. It was a dry summer that had some rains in autumn, which elongated the harvest. The harvest began on September 28 with Tempranillo and ended on October 22 with Cabernet Sauvignon. While slightly longer due to interruptions due to rain, at the end the grapes came in without a problem. Limestone, sandy-loam soils predominately, with medium-sized stones.
aging
12 months in 225 liter French oak barrels, from selected forests. At the end of aging, 40 different wines were made, depending on vineyard, varietal and type of barrel. This wine is the final blend of all of them. Clarified with natural egg whites.
