VISUAL PHASE: Red cherry color, very dense and shiny.

OLFACTORY PHASE: Black and red ripe fruit, with predominance of red plums and cherries typical of
high and cold areas; sweet and fine spices, low hills, and underwood aromas with the elegant
toasted hints of the oak.

GUSTATORY PHASE: More freshness in the mouth than in previous years, large and structured;
very intense fruity nuances, sweet and ripe tannins, with fruity, licorice, and aromatic herbs
flavors. Long and persistent finish.

Varieties: Tinto Fino (85%) and Merlot (15%). Selected vineyards located between 750 and
1,000 m altitude and between 21 plots of 13 towns of the Ribera del Duero.

Soils: Mainly limestone, sandy-loam, with stones and pebbles of medium size.

Harvest and Elaboration: 2013 was a meteorologically cold year, with a cold and rainy spring,
but no frosts. The summer was not very warm with significant delays in the grapevine cycle. The
harvest began on October 8 th , after a couple of rainy days that triggered botrytis. In only 2 days
we discarded 50% of the plots that had already been selected. Looking for healthy grapes we
went to vineyards above 900 m in height. It was harvested by hand in boxes of 12 kg. 35% of
the harvested grape was rejected at the selection table, looking for the complete health of the
grape. After the destemming process, the grapes arrived at the deposit, by gravity, almost
complete and without being squeezed. Grapes were vinified in stainless steel tanks. The
malolactic fermentation was carried out in deposit and in French oak barrels. Finally, after the
rejection of grapes in the selection table we only managed to produce half of our usual
production.

Aging: 12 months in French oak barrels of 225 cl, of different forests. By the end of the aging
period, 20 different wines were obtained, depending on the origin of the grape and the type of
barrel. This wine is the final coupage of all of them. After clarifying it with natural egg white, the
wine was bottled in May 2015.
